Regular Season Round 23: ZZ Leiden - Den Bosch 95-81

One of the most interesting games of round 23 was a derby match between two teams from Holland. Thirteenth rankedZZ Leiden won against visiting Den Bosch (12-11) 95-81 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Den Bosch. ZZ Leiden made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Aaron Cook (188-1997, college: Georgia) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Brad Greene (210-1998, college: UC Irvine) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Justin Kier (193-1998, college: Arizona) came up with 20 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Menno Dijkstra (213-1997, college: UC Riverside) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Den Bosch in the defeat. Four ZZ Leiden and five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Den Bosch's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Dutch champion (11-11) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Leeuwarden. Loser Den Bosch dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost.
